Alternate Realities Exhibition

        at

Vienna Design Week

        ‘Alternate Realities’ was Francesco Ciccolella’s first solo exhibition in Vienna at Vienna Design Week 2017.

        Fascinated by the post-factual era, where boundaries between truth and lies become blurred, populism conquers politics and contours of our common reality fade, ‘Alternate Realities’ broached the issue of our relationship to reality in the post-truth age.

        Exploring phenomena like filter bubbles, fake news, alternative facts or clickbaits, the exhibition told visual stories from post-factual everyday life and commented on how we perceive our environment, each other and ultimately ourselves, by means of drawings, prints and sculptural works.
